Daddy Lumba (born Charles Kwadwo Fosu; September 29, 1964 – July 26, 2025) was a legendary Ghanaian singer-songwriter and one of the most influential figures in Highlife music. Known for his distinctive voice, prolific songwriting, and hit songs like "Aben Wɔha" and "Yentie Obiaa," he released over 30 albums during a 30-year career. He began his career in the late 1980s in Germany, forming the Lumba Brothers with Nana Acheampong before going solo. He blended Highlife, gospel, and contemporary sounds, with lyrics touching on love, life, and social issues. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Ghanaian musicians of all time. He was also a mentor of Hiplife musician Ofori Amponsah.
